6.30am & our first morning on the open road.  Hmmm, where are we going again… Oh yeah, we need to go towards Germany first.

We decided not to join many of the teams at one of the official rally parties in Prague this evening. We were only just in France & didn’t believe the time to reach Prague from near Calais was achievable in Minty in the time available & to be in a state to enjoy the celebrations. Germany it is then.

It turned out it was a good thing we decided to avoid Prague.  Minty had developed a problem & started shaking quite badly as soon as we went above 45mph. It meant a very slow drive to Germany in the hope we could get her looked at there. Even the lovely D roads in France couldn’t stop her from shaking. 

380km later we eventually gave up reaching Germany & stopped for the night in Metz. A bed & a shower, LUXURY!!
