Our mission statement if you want to call it that is to try and bring awareness as best we can to these rare soft bone and tissue cancers that go by the group heading of Sarcoma’s. The aim is not only to highlight these and to encourage people to get tested even if they think that it is nothing (that’s what I did too and learned the hard way) but also to show that whilst we have an opportunity to get out and try and live the life we deserve for as long as we can we should.
With that in mind please take a little time to have a read and follow us on our travels and hope that we can at least bring a little joy as we go.
and why we do it
When John was diagnosed with Sarcoma in the Autumn of 2016, we had no idea what it was or what it meant. Unfortunately, this is a common theme and statistics are showing that only 25% of the UK population have heard about Sarcoma and a GP may only see 1 case in their entire career. These are scary numbers.
JUST SOME OF THE COUNTRIES THAT WE HAVE DRIVEN & VISITED SO FAR
Our intention is one day to have visited most if not all of them raising awareness as we go
